Dear Sir,
I was surprised to find out that your company sponsors the Howard Stern Show. His show is the most degrading, destructive, and filthy shows around. The promotion and humoring of such perversions as pedophilia, sadomasochism, oral sex, homosexuality, fornication, unfaithfulness, contributes to the breadkdown of inhibitions, personal and societal decency standards. His programming encourages people of all ages but primarily those who
are particularly vulnerable (the young and those who are easily misled) into seeking gratification in inappropriate
ways. It is contributing to messed up adults which contributes to messed up families which contributes to messed
up children. Read the following quote from his show and decide for yourself: Someone told me the best way to
never get caught (in an affair) is to kill the woman after you have sex with her.
One of the main goals of every society is socializing its children. Seems like the culture has become a hurtle to get
over. The culture is turning our children anti-social instead. Our culture has become commercialized. The bottom
line is more important than whats bound up in the heart.
Howard Stern is not concerned about the perverse influence that his daily broadcasts of up to 5 hours a day has
upon millions of listeners. He talks of the 1st Amendment and freedom of speech. America is a land where
freedom is celebrated, loved and cherished and maintained by the balance of law and order. As Mike Huckabee
(Governor of Arkansas) says,“America was founded on certain ideas, ideas about freedom, human dignity, and
social responsibility. If the time ever arises where American citizens are free to do whatever they desire without
the restraint of law, America will cease being a land of the free and become a land of chaos -- everyone doing that
which is right in their own lives without concern for the individual and societal consequence of their actions.
Howard Sterns freedom is a self-centered freedom. He dupes millions into believing that he is doing a noble thing
fighting for freedom when in fact he is lining his own pocket book at the expense of untold numbers of individuals
who see him as some kind of American hero, champion of the First Amendment.
Mr. Gene Edward Veith in World Magazine (May 8, 1999) has said, “the most subversive artifacts of the pop
culture are written, produced, and sold to children by adults. Corporate executives and stockholders old enough to
be their parents who are, infact, parents themselves are cashing in on the corruption of children. Is this the sign of
a healthy culture? Or are we becoming more like animals that eat their young?
In closing sir, you may well know, many sponsors have pulled their funds. I would like to urge you to join them,
and not allow your fine company to be associated with such a licentious show.
Sincerely,
