Homosexual Position Statement and Important Issues
OUR POSITION ON HOMOSEXUALITY
The Homosexual agenda we feel is probably one of the most hostile and lethal issues of our times. This page will educate you on the main points of the homosexual agenda. First we need to make our position on homosexuality very clear. People for the Way, Truth and Life does not condone persecution, harassment, violence or disrespectful behavior. We do not wish to deny any rights due them, such as stated in the constitution. In addition we feel tolerance must be given to them for the right to believe and express their opinions as stated in the First Amendment.
What we strongly disagree with is the aggressive activism in process to force the education system, government and individuals to change their beliefs and opinions, through the court system. Certainly this is intolerance at its worst. Thus, we can not stand back and do nothing. Furthermore, many people have a strong conviction that homosexuality is very destructive, unhealthy, and unnatural. It is also true that people of faith have a strong religious belief that homosexuality is wrong and dishonoring to God as is all sin, and undoubtedly feel that our belief compels us in love not to condone unhealthy destructive behavior, but to share the Gospel instead. As a result do not want the homosexual activists opinions and beliefs forced upon us

We must put on our armor and take a stand against the schemes of this movement. we must understand it, and be prepared so that when the day comes we are able to stand our ground!!! |

TARGETING CHILDREN
Urvashi Vaid, former executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, said "Children should be a special target for homosexual rights activists in the attemp to change society. (from World 4/99, Targeting Children, by Ed Vitagliano)HOW DOES THIS MOVEMENT PLAN TO INDOCTRINATE OUR CHILDREN?
Television, Movies, and Public Schools. In 1995 GLADD requested that our government put into place guidelines for TV programs to educate children on "homophobia and sexual discrimination. In 1997 the show Ellen was a mark for hollywood in that direction.TAKE ACTION: Please contact your senators and urge them to support the inclusion of a ban on homosexual adoptions in S. 682, which would ratify the treaty, called the "Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Corrperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption." Which will make it easier for Americans to adopt children from foreign nations and also calls for a ban on homosexual adoption.Please also contact your representative and urge him/her to support such a ban in H.R. 2342, which would implement the treaty.CLICK ON OUR "CURRENT ISSUES PAGE ON SIDE BAR". HOMOSEXUAL ADOPTION AND THE STATES. On May 3, Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove signed a bill that bans homosexual "couples" from legally adopting children. That makes Mississippi the 3rd state, after Florida and Utah to pass such a ban. The ACLU plans to file a lawsuit on behalf of two homosexuals seeking to challenge the new law's constitutionality. Now the battle over homosexual adoption moves to Connecticut, where legislators appear ready to pass a law granting homosexuals and unmarried heterosexuals the right to adopt children.

THE HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY
Unquestionably the homosexual community is not monolithic. There is a wide diversity of beliefs both politically and socially. Clearly however, there are traits common to most that set this community aside from the mainstream,such as the symbols used to bring solidarity; the upside down pink triangle,and the Greek letter lambda, which looks like a wavy L.
Enrique Rueda, former director of the Catholic Center at the Free congress Research andEducation Foundation said: "This community includes bars and discos where homosexuals drink, dance, relax, and find sex partners; homosexual churches and mainline-church-related groups, where they socialize while confirming their homosexual identity from the ethical, theological, and cultic standpoints; baths, which are essentially places for engaging in one-to-one or group sex,either publicly or privately; publications in which homosexuals find information they need from their particular perspective, stimulation for thier sexual fantasies in pornographic stories and photographs, and, when needed,the services of male prostitutes; professional association where homosexuals meet their professional peers while advancing the interests of their cause"....
Obviously it is clear that there is a homosexual sub-culture in our society. While it may be well diversified there are some common issues supported withlarge sums of money and passion by leaders in this community, furthermore confirmed by the May 1993 march to Washington. Consequently forming anagenda.

GOALS THAT THE HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE
- The implementation of homosexual, bisexual, and transgendered curriculum at all levels of education.
- The lowering of the age of consent for homosexual and heterosexual sex.
- The legalization of homosexual marriages.
- Custody, adoption and foster care rights for homosexuals, lesbians, and transgendered people.
- The redefinition of family to include the full diversity of all family structures.The access to all programs of the Boy Scouts of America.
- Affirmative action for homosexuals.
- The inclusion of sex-change operations under a universal health care plan.

WHY IS THE HOMOSEXUAL MOVEMENT SO EFFECTIVE? According to Rick Scarborough in his book, "Enough is Enough" he states many reasons;
- First, they are well-funded. Many of them are professionals with larger than average incomes. If they have a live-in lover, their household income is doubled. They have none of the expenses most Americans face for children, like college education, automobiles, or insurances, etc.
- Secondly, they have time. Typically, they are not going to parent teacher meetings, unless it is to advance their cause. They are not going to little league games, cheerleading practice, or church activities.
- Thirdly, they have powerful sympathizers. Many of the educational and media elite have embraced the same amoral, atheistic philosophies that have given rise to the homosexual movement. Thought they may not be engaging in the homosexual behavior, they detest anyone who forbids it on the grounds that it is wrong. They particularly detest religionists who do so on the basis of biblical convictions.
- Fourth, they have the legal offensive. Many homosexuals themselves are attorneys and they are more willing to devote their time and energies to the struggle. The liberal bias of our courts for the last forty years, flowing out of the secular humanist worldview held by many of our nation's judges, has provided a receptive climate to the goals of the movement. The mere threat of the expense of litigation, not to mention the personal attacks often leveled by homosexuals against anyone who opposes them, has caused many cities and states to simply lie down without a fight.
- Fifth, they play by different rules. In recent years, some gays have resorted to violence. ACTUP, a militant arm of the homosexual movement, does not hesitate to use violence to achieve their goals.
- Finally, They have a plan. They have clearly defined goals and they know how to pursue them. The only thing standing in their way is biblical Christianity.
He further states in his book; "I am amazed at how ignorant most Americans are when it comes to what the homosexuals truly want of our nation. If the American public could attend one gay rights parade down the streets of New York City, San Francisco or even on the steps of our nation's Capital in Washington, D.C., I am convinced the debate would be over."
SHOULD PUBLIC SCHOOLS CELEBRATE GAY HISTORY MONTH?
Four main reasons why they should not;
- Advocacy Not Education;
It is clearly for advocacy of a particular social and political agenda - gay rights, not the teaching of history.
- Unfair to Other Students;
There are other groups, that constituents could consider equally deserving, that school districts would be alienating.
- Irrelevant to Curriculum;
The sexual behavior of historical figures studied in the K-12 curriculum is irrelevant to why they are included in K-12 textbooks. It deviates too far from the academic standards and objectives of the school curriculum. Homosexuality is hardly foundational.
- Divisive in the Community;
It will make a very small group within some communities happy, but it will make a much larger group of constituents very unhappy, leading to protests, polictical battles, and even lawsuits. Parents will place their children in the hands of other educators whom they feel they can trust.
